This Privacy Policy covers the approach that Furry Friends Animal Rescue Queensland will take in relation to the treatment of personal information. Collection 1.1 Furry Friends Animal Rescue Queensland will only collect personal information when it is necessary for the organisation to perform one or more of its functions or activities. (iii) For fundraising/ sponsorship purposes. 1.2 Furry Friends Animal Rescue Queensland will not collect any sensitive information from persons without consent. 1.3 Furry Friends Animal Rescue Queensland will not collect any personal information in a way which would be considered secretive. 1.4 Furry Friends does not store an individual's identification anywhere, although during the adoption and foster care process we are required to "sight" the identification document. 2. Use 2.1 Furry Friends Animal Rescue Queensland will predominantly use the information collected for purposes previously described in Collection 1.1 above. 2.2 Furry Friends Animal Rescue Queensland may use personal information to avoid any threats to a person’s life or to public safety. It may also use personal information for any reasons relating to the law or internal investigations into unlawful activities. 2.3 Furry Friends Animal Rescue Queensland will not attempt to match de-identified or anonymous data collected through surveys or such online devices as ‘cookies’, with information identifying an individual, without the consent of the person of interest. 2.4 Furry Friends Animal Rescue Queensland will correct its records containing personal information at the request of the individual involved, as soon as practically possible.
