Furry Friends Animal Rescue Queensland is a not for profit companion animal rescue organisation, based in the Brisbane area. Our mission is to give 'death row' or surrendered cats and kittens a second chance at life.
All cats are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and, where necessary, rehabilitated, while under the care of our loving volunteer foster carers. When the cats are ready, they placed up for adoption to suitable forever homes. Our desire is to minimise the large number of animals euthanised every year in pounds and shelters. We want to educate the general public on the importance of responsible pet ownership and make them aware of the importance of desexing. We want to help reduce the numbers of unwanted litters of kittens which add to the already overcrowded pounds and shelters. We support microchipping, so that cats can be identified if ever lost and reunited with their families. Sadly, there are thousands of cats killed every year, simply because their owners could not or did not claim them from the pounds. This is why we hope to inspire more people into adopting a 'second chance' cat.
We rely solely on donations from generous members of the public and our sponsors. Every dollar donated goes towards the medical and rehoming costs of cats in foster care. Our work saves lives and brings happiness to cats and their new owners. You can help by donating money or goods, or volunteering your time and knowledge for the cause that helps those with paws. |
