Volunteer Positions Available

Recruitment and Onboarding Officer for Volunteering Roles
​(Virtual, Home Based)

ABOUT THIS ROLE
​
We are seeking experienced Recruiters to attract talented volunteers to Furry Friends and maintain volunteering numbers to meet organisational needs.

​Key responsibilities will include:
  • Undertake end-to-end recruitment activities.
  • Be the point of contact for all new volunteers during onboarding process
  • Perform exit procedures for volunteers

REQUIREMENTS
To be considered, you will have:
  • Minimum Cert IV or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ proven experience in recruitment.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Regular access to a computer with internet connection (at your own expense).
  • Initiative to work autonomously and remotely.
  • Genuine desire and commitment to help re-home companion animals.

All applicants must be able to commit between 5-10 hours per week to the role and be available to attend the fortnightly team meeting (currently Wednesday evening 8:00 pm QLD time over the teleconferencing platform Zoom). Whilst working hours are flexible, responsiveness to both organisational needs as well as candidates is crucial in order to attract and recruit selected talent.

In return, this is a great opportunity to gain experience working within a virtual team environment, whilst making a direct and positive impact on the lives of homeless pets.
